A little sumthin-sumthin I posted on Facebook earlier… Just thought I’d share here as well… 


Becoming motivated involves not only being aware of your current state (or weight.. condition.. whatever), but also creating your future. Working towards a goal requires determination but also a strong desire to BE something….and a constant reminder of that fact. You have to wake up every day and really WANT whatever it is you’re trying to achieve.


First, make sure you’ve really come to terms with how you are NOW and how you truly feel about that. That’s the first step. If you’re truly unhappy but keep telling yourself that everything is great… you wont get very far. Personally, I used the mirror and just looked at myself. And yes, it was uncomfortable…but if I hadn’t done that, I would have never changed my lifestyle. 


Then, try to imagine what it would be like when you’ve reached your goal. How would your clothes feel on you? How confident would you be? How would you feel if someone were looking at you? How would you feel in a bathing suit? These are questions that have to be particular to YOU, as this is YOUR goal. 


The important thing is to try to make this “future reality” as REAL as possible.. and once you’ve done that, keep on making it a real while you work towards it. Eventually, it will become a reality.
